Within

 Darkness conceals vacuum,

It conceals truth,

With a life to behold.

When we see people leave us,

The sleek figure walking away,

As the distance grows between our bodies,

Till there is nothing but emptiness,

And what you hear is just silence of your soul.

The wind blows hard,

It conceals your fear,

The dark which is held,

Turns to you with comfort,

Comfort of lies and nothingness.

When I see you sitting beside,

The distance that seems,

Is more than miles,

In darkness your face seems bruised,

With emotions overwhelming.

The darkness is long enchanting,

Covered with sands of time,

The light from the broken window,

Fills up my eyes, teary eyes,

The pain it causes,

Captures me within.

The dark tells a story,

Something that is within.
